Coral Reef Watch


Aruba and Curacao are moving into the danger zone for this year’s coral bleaching expectation, Seawater temperatures are rising rapidly and could reach critical levels after a week or so. During coral bleaching corals shed their endosymbiontic algae that normally provide them with food. If periods of warm water persist, these algae do not return and corals starve which often leads to massive mortality… Check your reef…
